Operator is a theatrical multimedia concert inspired by sex positivity, queer freedom, female empowerment through the lens of sex work as work. The program consists of brand new music by composers Curtis Rumrill, Anna Elder, Anthony R. Green, Liz Gre, Nathan Hall & Michael Genese. The evening includes local kink vendors, drinks, audio erotica, interviews with sex workers, and a burlesque and circus arts act by aerial artist Heather Michele Meyer and members of the Hot Fix Sideshow and Infrasound. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to local NYC sex worker nonprofits Decriminalize Sex Work, Red Canary Song, and G.L.I.T.S. These organizations work to decriminalize sex work and keep people safe. Evidence shows that decriminalizing sex work will help end human trafficking, improve public health, and promote community safety.
